Christopher Nolan Didn't Want To Make The Dark Knight

Christopher Nolan was originally not going to make The Dark Knight, with Batman Begins' ending merely being a tease and nothing more. One of the most frequent superheroes to ever grace the screen is DC Comics' Batman character. Due to the somewhat grounded and versatile nature of the character, Warner Bros. has taken advantage of the property with numerous filmmakers putting their own creative stamp on the caped crusader. Because of this, the Batman franchise has flourished, even with some of its ups and downs such as the critically maligned Joel Schumacher outing Batman & Robin, the series had managed to bounce back and excite audiences everywhere.
