Destiny 2: Everything You Need For Season 18 (& Arc 3.0)

Season 18 of Destiny 2 is almost here, along with Arc 3.0 subclass rework, so now is the time to gather everything needed for the latest Season of the [REDACTED]. There are few known details about the upcoming season of Destiny 2, and most of the revealed information has been acquired indirectly. For example, because the Void and Solar 3.0 subclasses already received their reworks in Season 17 and 18, respectively, Guardians know that Arc 3.0 is coming next season. As Bungie continues to sprinkle information over the final weeks of Season of the Haunted, players can prepare the things they need in advance.

Additionally, while Bungie revealed that the next Raid in the game begins on August 26 during the daily reset, the Destiny 2 showcase 2022 on August 23 will reveal which Destiny 1 Raid is coming to the sequel. Those who wish to participate in the Raid will likely need to be level 1550 at most, which is an increase of 20 Power Levels from what the Vow of the Disciple Raid capped players at during its opening contest mode. Nonetheless, this particular information hasn't been confirmed. However, given how consistent Bungie is with increasingly the Power and Soft caps every season, it's likely that a comparable increase will be applied to the contest mode of the upcoming Raid.

With three weeks left of Season of the Haunted, Guardians can begin to prepare for Season 18. For example, there are nearly 100 weapons worth getting for Arc 3.0 based on the perks and current options available. New weapons will be included at the beginning of Season 18 that may be favorable over many of the Arc weapons in Destiny 2 now, but there are still dozens of Legendary weapons that will become empowered by the Arc 3.0 update.

When Arc 3.0 arrives, Guardians will likely spend the beginning of the season figuring out which builds are the best to use. These builds will be partially determined by the Aspects and Fragments of the reworked Arc subclasses for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans, but those details are unknown at this time. Instead, players can look at the Exotic armor pieces for their Guardians to see which ones already benefit from the current Arc subclasses, and begin creating builds in advance. For example, the best Titan build with Loreley Splendor Helm is specific to the Solar subclass, whereas the Cuirass of the Falling Star will be exclusive to the Arc subclass for Titans.

Lastly, bounty stacking and getting endgame materials should be a priority for all Guardians over the last three weeks of Season 17. Bounty stacking will allow players to receive a large amount of XP at the beginning of next season as they complete and hold onto their bounties this season, which will progress the new seasonal artifact and unlock unique seasonal mods. Gathering materials like Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards now will allow players to masterwork new armor.
