Reynolds and McElhenney's acquisition of the fifth-tier football club in 2020 surprised many at the time due to their lack of experience in the sport. However, the satisfaction of the Wrexham fans was on full display as they welcomed their new owners with open arms. In a region where being a football club supporter is a way of life, the pair's attempts to reverse Wrexham's fortunes have so far been met with positivity. Audiences can catch the Deadpool and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars in their latest journey when Welcome to Wrexham premieres with back-to-back episodes on FX on August 24th.
