Sylvester Stallone is a violent mafia boss who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the trailer for his new show, Tulsa KingAfter getting his start in the 1970s and '80s with hits like Rocky and First BloodStallone continues to prove himself as one of the defining action stars of his generation with more recent movies like The ExpendablesEscape Plan, and Rambo: First Blood. Stallone's latest project, however, isn't another film, with the actor instead taking on the role of Dwight "The General" Manfredi in Paramount+'s Tulsa King series.

Tulsa King is co-created by Taylor Sheridan, best known for creating Yellowstone, and Terence Winter, best known for writing and producing The Sopranos. The upcoming show tells the story of an aging Italian mobster who, after being released from prison, is tasked with reestablishing his mafia in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The show marks Sheridan's third collaboration with Paramount+ after his successful Yellowstone spinoff show, 1883, and Mayor of Kingston, which stars Jeremy Renner. In addition to Stallone, Tulsa King also stars Garrett Hedlund, Andrea Savage, Andrew Olson, Zachary Brooks, Martin Starr, and Domenick Lombardozzi, among others.

Paramount+ has now released a new trailer for Tulsa King, giving fans a closer look at what is to come in the upcoming series and showing off another violent turn from Stallone as "The General." Although only 30 seconds long, the new trailer gives viewers a taste of what's to come, showing Stallone hitting somebody with a phone before choking another. Tulsa King feels very similar to Sheridan's other shows, then, with the violence in Mayor of Kingston, Yellowstone, and 1883 often also being brutal and realistic. While showing off some of Stallone's physicality, the brief trailer for Tulsa King also hints that the show will make use of the fact that Stallone is now a bit older, showing that The General has been in prison much of his life and isn't the same man he used to be.

While teasing some of what is in store for audiences when Tulsa King releases on Paramount+ on November 13th, the trailer thankfully keeps much of the mystery alive. It's likely that, as the release date nears, more of the series will be shown off, including a closer look at Stallone's character and supporting cast members like Hedlund, Savage, and Olson. For now, however, fans of Stallone and Sheridan appear to be in for a treat with Tulsa King, with the show seeming to feature a unique turn from the iconic actor in a show from one of the most successful and revered TV creators working today.
