Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay wants to set the record straight about the engagement ring her fiancé, Brock Davies, bought her. The Vanderpump OG recently explained why Brock used so many different credit cards to buy the engagement ring, which made hardcore fans wonder if Brock is that broke. There is no denying that fans raised a few eyebrows regarding Brock’s real agenda with Scheana during the most recent season of the show.
Vanderpump Rules season 9 showed a closer side of Scheana’s new boo and a side most viewers quickly learned to dislike. However, Scheana, who shares 9-month-year older Summer Moon with Brock, is happily in love with the Australian native, even though they haven’t been together for that long. The couple met in 2019 and has been dating ever since. Brock made a brief appearance in the Vanderpump Rules season 8 reunion in 2020 and was promoted to a full-time cast member in season 9. In 2021, the personal trainer finally popped the question to Scheana and took advantage of Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy's engagement party, in hopes of speeding up a wedding with Scheana. Although there was no time--or money--left to do it publicly on the show, Brock made sure the world knew he could at least afford an engagement ring.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Scheana explained the reasoning for Brock’s multiple credit card usages for one engagement ring. “Brock thought it would be funny to put a little bit on each card. He could have put it all on one card, but he was like, ‘Oh, I’ll put a little bit on this, a little bit on that,'” Scheana told said. “I thought it was funny. People in Australia who get that cheap type of humor thought it was funny.” Somehow, that dry Australian humor didn’t translate well to the United States television audience. Scheana continued to confirm that it was only a joke so people wouldn't really think that Brock is a “cheap a**.”

It’s safe to say Brock is not a fan-favorite and was even compared to Jax Taylor. However, Vanderpump Rules fans didn’t just slam Brock for the engagement ring but also for wanting to crash Raquel and James’ engagement party. “That was so misunderstood. It was never supposed to be on their property,” Scheana added. Apparently, their plan was to escape to Santa Barbara, while the others were engaged in other activities.
That all makes sense now, except every joke does contain a little bit of truth in it. Regardless of what Vanderpump Rules fans and critics have to say about Brock and Scheana, she seems to always be standing by her man no matter what the accusations might be. Maybe it’s the “love-is-blind” syndrome that Scheana caught or maybe she wants to make it work so she doesn't end up as a second-time- divorcée and a single mother who is about to be 37 years old.
