90 Day Fiancé: Why Fans Think TOW Is Too Cringey To Watch

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way are starting to feel a bit suffocated by the franchise, finding it too cringey. While some have called the show out for being too scripted, the spin-off seems to be losing gusto with its fans. TLC lovers want to see the series revert back to its original premise instead of watching out of this world storylines.

The 90 Day Fiancé universe has really taken off since the show's inception back in 2014. Long-distance relationships have never looked so alluring with the promise of a foreign soul mate and a possible green card on the line. TOW viewers have been able to see what it looks like when the tables are turned. During each season, Americans choose to give up their lives in the States to move to exotic locations like Ethiopia or South Korea. Long-distance relationships have enough challenges without the extra added pressure of having to learn about a new culture.

However, the once-entertaining franchise spin-off is letting its viewers down. 90 Day Fiancé fans are starting to find the TLC series too cringey for their tastes. New and old faces have returned for season 3, with the new cast bringing in the usual ratings. Yet, even with love on the line, the show's premise has become too much for some viewers. The utterly uncensored look into each couple's life has become a bit of a turn-off. While the concept is excellent, the delivery feels awkward, with fans screaming their opinions from social media for all to hear. For example, fan maddy_lowe took to Twitter to share their opinion about Steven from the show. Check out the post below:

This one 90 Day Fiancé fan's opinion is not an anomaly as many have voiced similar concerns with other cast members, noting they are manipulative. TLC viewers are also starting to agree that the Americans are often shown in poor taste, with almost none of them doing the research before moving. So far, none have tried to learn a language when proclaiming they are uprooting themselves permanently. For many, it seems like the show's casting has become its Achilles heel. Viewers are threatening mutiny if 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way doesn't start to improve.

Fans have also grown tired of Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber fighting all the time and newbie Steven Johnston lying. A great yawn can often be heard on social media as a new episode is about to premiere. TLC fans want the show to return to its original format: a time when two people were truly in love and not ruining the visa process for real-life couples.
