The long-running animated show, The Simpsons, has an overabundance of fascinating adult characters. On several occasions, characters below the age of 3 have also been used to add even more laughs to what is already a funny show. Some of the babies work well on their own while others team up with adults for some hilarious moments.
Since she is a member of the Simpson family, Maggie is the most popular baby on the show. However, there are a few other babies that arguably outshine her. What makes these specific babies great ranges from their uniqueness, general characteristics, appearance, superior story arcs, and the quality of humor they add to the long-running series.
10 Kearney's Other Son

Renowned Springfield Elementary bully Kearney Zzyzwicz—who has never managed to graduate—gets a baby who simply goes by the name "Kearney's Other Son." The baby turns out to be more unruly than his father.
Kearney's Other Son's personality is more of a blend of genetics and his father's tutelage. Daddy keeps encouraging him to engage in the worst forms of mischief. He even calls him out when he destroys a sandcastle that children are building at the beach, telling him that he should have waited until they completed it first before destroying it, so as to hurt them more. Kearney's Other Son is incredibly strong and muscular too. He emerges the victor while engaging in fisticuffs with the adult Homer, a moment that makes him a fit for the most overpowered characters in The Simpsons.
9 Ling Bouvier

The daughter of Marge's older sister Selma is adopted from Beijing. Her adoptive mother fools authorities into believing that Homer is her husband so that they will think the baby will be raised in a stable family.
Ling is different from other babies because she has talents that even most adults don't possess. She can paint as brilliantly as any renowned artist, a trait she shows when she creates a photo-like portrait of her mother. She can also play instruments and act. Ling's weird habits also provide comic relief on the regular. One of the things she enjoys doing the most is squeezing Homer's eyeballs. Since he always has a need to please children, Homer never complains, no matter the amount of discomfort he feels.
8 Gerald Samson

Thanks to his uni-brow, Gerald earns himself the nicknames "The Monobrow" or "Unibrow Baby." He is born on the same day as Maggie but due to a diaper shortage at the hospital, the only remaining one is given to Maggie. Gerald develops a rash and becomes bitter towards Maggie. He thus spends his days plotting revenge.
Gerald's uni-brow makes him a distinct and memorable character by appearance alone. And it gets even better each time he gives Marge the "death stare." The toddler has a penchant for throwing tantrums and engaging in mischief whenever he doesn't get what he wants. His adventures are so legendary that even the Mayor takes notice, asking him what crime he'll be up to next. Among the biggest disasters he causes is making the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant meltdown because he was denied a donut.
7 Maggie Simpson

The youngest child in the Simpson family is often sucking on her pacifier. Her attempts to walk always end up in a soft fall on the floor. And even after 33 seasons, she still hasn't learned how to speak full sentences just yet.
Despite these setbacks, Maggie is quite skilled for a baby. She can play the saxophone and bowl with accuracy, something Homer took 39 years to learn. Her inability to speak doesn't stop her from scheming. In one of Maggie Simpson's most badass moments, she organizes a break-in with other toddlers at the Ayn Rand School for Tots so that they can reclaim their confiscated pacifiers. She has excessive amounts of energy too, as evident from how she once crawls across town while looking for her mother.
6 Gino Underdunk Terwilliger

Gino looks exactly like his father, the criminal mastermind and one of the most underrated characters in The Simpsons, Sideshow Bob. He also speaks with an Italian accent, having been born in Salsiccia, Italy.
Gino's loyalty towards his father trumps the bond any other child has with their parents on the show. Together with his family, Gino is always trying to harm the Simpsons. The hilarious manner in which most of the attempts fail is what makes Gino and his dad such intriguing characters. On the show, Gino has the honor of being the youngest character to ever be imprisoned.
5 Normal Head Joe Spuckler

Normal Head Joe Spuckler is one of Cletus Spuckler and Brandine Spuckler's many children. The size of his head is often the source of jokes among the Springfield residents. His giant head is the result of being bit by a tick, which caused his head to swell to its current oversized state.
Joe is one of the best babies in the show because he inadvertently helps other characters. Whenever Lisa and Bart are trying to describe how big something is, they always compare it to the head of Joe. The baby never speaks and is always smiling too, oblivious of the troubled life of his parents and this makes him off as adorable. Strangely enough, despite not being able to speak, he can sing. Cletus once states that Brandine got Joe to sing so as to persuade him to return home.
4 Homer Jr.

When a pregnant woman named Gretchen gets labor pains inside an elevator, a responsible Homer helps her give birth. Impressed, Gretchen names the baby Homer Jr. The strong bond that develops between Homer and Homer Jr. after the elevator birth is not only entertaining but leads to total chaos.
Homer Jr. proves that he'll do everything in his power to keep Homer as his surrogate parent. Eager to be the only baby Homer cares about, Homer Jr. begins plotting against Maggie. The ridiculous attempts by Homer Jr. to topple Maggie make the character stand out not only among the show's many baby characters but its supporting characters as well.
3 Bouncing Battle Baby

In an alternate world, Marge forces Clobber Girl and Stretch Dude to take care of Maggie but things go wrong. They walk into a cloning experiment by Professor Frink and Maggie turns into a superhero named Bouncing Battle Baby.
As a hero, Bouncing Battle Baby impresses with her unique fighting skills. She also moves by leaping great distances instead of flying. Bouncing Battle Baby begins solving cases with Clobber Girl and Stretch Dude but she proves to be a liability by actually acting like a baby during crucial moments. On one occasion, Clobber Girl finds herself forced to change Bouncing Battle Baby's diaper and this gives a robber the window to escape. She also starts crying during another robbery attempt.
2 Maggie Simpson Jr.

In one of the best future episodes on The Simpsons, Maggie has an adorable daughter named Maggie Simpson Jr. She looks exactly like her mother and is said to have been born on Christmas Eve. Maggie Simpson Jr isn't given any solid story arcs but he serves a specific purpose. Her presence is meant to show just how much of a responsible mother Maggie has become. Of all the babies on the show, Maggie Simpson Jr appears to be the calmest one as she rarely cries and seems to be excited by everything she sees. As a result, her mother Maggie lives a very peaceful life and is portrayed as a great parent just like Marge.
1 Rubella Scabies Spuckler

Another one of Cletus and Brandine's children, Rubella is first abandoned by her parents. Homer discovers her when he opens a bag of sugar only to find Rubella inside. Because of her parent's actions, Rubella hates them but relates well with everyone else.
Rubella is a memorable baby because she shows how Homer can be a good parent. She once again reestablishes the trend of babies wanting to be taken care of by Homer since they deem him a better father, even though questions have been raised about his parenting skills. Apart from her attachment to Homer, Rubella has adult tastes. She's been seen enjoying classic thriller movies and listening to jazz.
