Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Show Stylishly Recreate Original Anime Opening

Netflix unveils the first look at the title sequence for its upcoming live-action series adaptation of the iconic anime Cowboy Bebop. The original anime premiered in 1998 and revolved around a group of bounty hunters traveling through the galaxy on the titular starship in search of targets and running from their personal demons. Cowboy Bebop was originally created by a collective group of Sunrise Inc.' staff credited under the pseudonym Hajime Yatate.

The new Cowboy Bebop is being developed by André Nemec and penned by The Mandalorian alum Christopher Yost, with Sunrise Inc. partnering with Tomorrow Studios to produce the project. The cast for the series includes John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, Danielle Pineda as Faye Valentine, Alex Hassell as Vicious and Elena Satine as Julia. The original anime is celebrated as helping introduce Western audiences to the genre and has continued to receive acclaim in the years since, namely for its jazz-infused soundtrack from Yoko Kanno, who is returning to Netflix's adaptation to compose the score while original director Shinichirō Watanabe served as a creative consultant.

With just two months remaining until the series' arrival, Netflix has revealed a new look at Cowboy Bebop. The video reveals the opening title sequence for the series' adaptation with Kanno's iconic "Tank!" playing over it. Check out the exciting new look below:
